Producción de pigmentos naturales (clorofila-a) en biorrefinerias agroindustriales

El objetivo del trabajo fue evaluar la producción de clorofila-a por Aphanothece microscópica Nägeli a partir de efluentes de procesamiento de productos lácteos dentro del ámbito de una biorrefinería. Los experimentos se realizaron en biorreactores mediante cultivo heterotrófico en condiciones de pH 7.60, temperatura de 20º C y aireación continua de 1 VVM. A partir de un diseño experimental 23 se evaluó las variables concentración de inóculo (100, 200 e 300 mg L-1), relación carbono/nitrógeno (C/N) (20, 40 y 60) y relación nitrógeno/fosforo (N/P) (5, 10 y 15). Los resultados obtenidos demostraron el efecto de las variables en estudio para la producción de clorofila-a, indicando la posibilidad de producir hasta 4765.5 µgclorofila-a L-1d-1. Esta producción se basó en la conversión de los contaminantes presentes en las aguas residuales, donde se evidenció la conversión de 96.90% de materia orgánica, 73.5% de nitrógeno total y 89.80% de fósforo total del efluente.
