In the business world there are several factors that affect the economic profit in companies, which, in certain occasions, converge in business insolvency, however, thanks to academic research and administrative management, these scenarios can be mitigated. Therefore, the objective of this study is to determine the factors that affect the generation of profit in Ecuadorian manufacturing SMEs. For its resolution, the Principal Component Analysis is used to reduce the number of observed variables. The results allow inferring that the liquidity and management contexts have emerged as elements with high weight in each of the components.
