The general objective of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of social networks in the recruitment process in the company Search Dominican Republic, during the period January-October 2014. The method used for this research was inductive, with a qualitative approach, the information was obtained through focus group techniques and interviews. The population of the present study consisted of 4 people. It was concluded that recruitment 2.0 is effective and beneficial to the company when it comes to attracting suitable candidates for vacant positions. The time to find a profile according to the vacancy using Recruitment 2.0 is less than it takes to recruit a suitable candidate through the traditional recruitment process. On the other hand, it was determined that the company does not have a defined recruitment strategy 2.0. Based on the conclusions described above, we proceeded to recommend the following to the company: establish a 2.0 recruitment strategy, where it can have organizational profiles created in the main social networks, in turn, it is recommended to optimize the use of the social media search services to recruit active and passive candidates.
