Abstract

This research work seeks to perpetrate the aspects related to the environmental issue and sustainable green spaces, at present it is an issue addressed with great importance since the growing pollution has led governments and citizens to take sustainable initiatives that contribute to caring and preservation of the environment. The objective of this work is to determine the causes that prevent the cultivation of green spaces in an inactive population, for which 8 families from the John F Kennedy neighborhood and 20 families from the El Palmarín neighborhood of the city of Vinces, located 167 km from Guayaquil, were surveyed. Ecuador. The main result is that there is a minimal culture regarding gardening in their homes even though it should be a more general practice due to its tight economy.
