The research carried out addresses as its essence the characteristics assumed by the teaching-learning process of Linear Algebra in the careers of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences of the State Technical University of Quevedo, attending to the process's own relationships depending on the components didactic and the interactions that occur between the different subjects that participate in it. Taking as a starting point the systematization and implication that this has had in the training of engineers. Allowing, therefore, that the teacher find new ways of teaching, of thinking, of transferring the object of science associated with the object of the profession, which allows the student to be constantly in a process of questioning about what he knows and to what you need and take control of your own learning. In the investigative process the integral investigative approach was used, whose methodological basis is the dialectical-materialist method, where quantitative and qualitative analyzes were combined. The theoretical level methods were used: historical-logical, systemic, modeling analysis; at the empirical level: interviews, questionnaires and documentary analysis.
