The Science and Technology Magazine makes use of URKUND, a plagiarism detection service that verifies the originality of the content submitted before publication. The URKUND software checks the document submitted to the journal with the content of web pages, libraries, books, and its own databases. Each manuscript sent to the Editor will be verified in the shortest time possible. In this process, URKUND provides a similarity report which highlights, on the one hand, the resulting percentage of similarity according to the number of words, and, on the other, the marking of the various sections, expressions or terms that are found in other documents. The editorial team of La Revista Ciencia y Tecnología verifies the similarity report and, if necessary, this report will be sent to the Editor or Section Editor in charge of managing the article. The decision as to whether a manuscript should be rejected due to fraud or proceed to the peer review process rests with the Section Editor. Likewise, Ciencia Y Tecnología makes available to authors and reviewers, as well as the scientific community, a set of specific tools for detecting plagiarism: Grammarly, Plagium, Copionic, WriteCheck, PaperRater, Plagarisma.net, Viper Plagarism Scanner or CrossCheck. . It is a set of free access and paid interfaces, which supervise the originality of any manuscript and allow plagiarism to be controlled.
