This research proposes the development of a computer application using free software as a proposal for innovation of digital technologies to support the educational processes of people with restricted disabilities, especially people with hearing problems (hearing loss); which has been called Fingerprint Learning System for Linux platforms, since it is intended to build educational tools with easy access to the application and source code.
The study demonstrates through the interpretation of statistical data the disability rates in Ecuador and the relationship with enrollment and access to higher education; which fully justify the development of this work and concludes with the creation of the SADx (Fingerprint Learning System for Linux) as didactic tools for learning sign language using hands.
